Photos That Should Be Paintings
Inspired by the hard-edge painting style developed in the early 1960s, Photos That Should be Paintings is a collection of mobile phone imagery that was first amassed to be used as reference material for my cut paper collage artworks, and has since grown into a stand alone, ongoing series. As an open source project, these photographs are tagged and published to Instagram and tumblr, inspiring others to participate by slowing down and investigating different ways of looking at the world around them.
